A vigorous, semi-evergreen, twining climber with bright green leaves divided into five rounded leaflets and sweetly scented, chocolate-purple flowers dangling in clusters during spring. Ideal for climbing up arbors, trellises, pergolas, or on walls or fences where there are supporting wires and will ramble happily over old tree stumps.
