A thicket-forming, compact shrub with attractive pinnate leaves and small, white, spiraea-like flowers borne in stiff, terminal spikes in summer. Leaves are yellow-green flushed with bright, reddish-pink and bronze in spring, becoming greener in summer, and turning a vibrant shade of red in autumn. Colouring is best in good light.
